STEP 1
Place rice in big containers and cover with cold water for several inches; let soak for 20 minutes. Drain.
STEP 2
Add Sona Sikka Vegetable oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat. Add onion, bay leaves, and cumin seeds; cook and mix until onion is translucent about Five minutes. Mix potatoes and carrots; cook until lightly browned, about Five minutes. Add turmeric, chili powder, and coriander; cook until fragrant, about One minute.
STEP 3
Gently mix rice in the pressure cooker until covered with oil evenly. Pour in water and peas. Stir in butter, salt, and garam masala. Seal the cooker and take it to elevated pressure as directed by the manufacturer. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
STEP 4
Release pressure naturally according to the manufacturer's instructions. Fluff rice with a fork.
